Wine Spectator 92 points $125

13- Beringer Chardonnay Sbragia - Limited Release, Napa Valley 2005
This Chardonnay is an outstanding wine.  It offers copious quantities of honeyed fruit, full body, a rich, heady mouthfeel, but not the unctuosity normally found in this cuvee.  While the oak is restrained, there is an abundance of richness and plenty of vibrancy and precision.
Robert Parker 93 points $45

14- Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley 2003
Smooth, rich and seductive with impeccable balance, great depth and lots of finesse and flavor. The layers of plum, black cherry, mocha, spice and wild berry flavors unfold gracefully, keeping a tight focus and fanning out, giving it a long, supple aftertaste.
Wine Spectator 93 points $100

15- Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection, Napa Valley 2003

Robert Parker 94 points $150

16- Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection, Napa Valley 2002
A fabulous effort, this Cabernet Sauvignon boasts an inky puple color to the rim as well as a gloriously exuberant bouquet of creme de cassis, graphite, vanilla, and charcoal.  Dense and full-bodied, with fabulous purity, sweet tannin, decent acidity, and perfect equilibrium.  This is a great Napa Cabernet Sauvignon.  A true Classic.
Robert Parker 96 points $175

17- Beringer Cabernet Sauvignon Private Reserve, Napa Valley 2001
When all of these cuvees are blended together, the result is the fimest Cabernet Sauvignon yet made by Ed Sbragia(11,000 cases of truly divine Cabernet nectar).  An extraordinary effort.  Large scaled yet elegant, it boasts classic notes of creme de cassis, chocolate and smoky oak.  Extraordinary voluptuousness, great concentration, tremendous intesity, and a finish that lasts nearly 60 seconds.  This saturated purple colored, full bodied Cabernet is one of the greatest wines ever made at Beringer.  It is a tribute to it's winemaster, the brilliant Ed Sbragia.
Robert Parker 96 points $125

18- Beringer Cabernet Sauvignon Private Reserve, Napa Valley 2002
It is a fruit forward, softer, more flamboyant, seductive effort displaying gorgeous notes of chocolaty creme de cassis, some spicy, high-quality, toasty oak, a rich, plush, savory, expansive mid-palate, and a long heady finish with elevated glycerin and plenty of sweet tannin and fruit.  Ed Sbragia, Beringer's winemaster, compares it to the 1992.  This blend is one of the great California Cabernets.  There are two gorgeous ones in the market, the profound 2001 described above, and the flamboyant exotic 2002.
Robert Parker 94 points $125

19- Chateau St. Jean Cinq Cepages, Sonoma 2001

Robert Parker 94 points $175

21- Penfolds Grange Shiraz, South Australia 2001
This is one of the few vintages of this cuvee to be composed of 100% Shiraz. Aged 17 months in 100% American oak, and tipping the scales at 14.5% alcohol, it is undeniably one of the top examples of this wine. Inky/blue/purple to the rim, with a stunning perfume of blueberries, blackberries, chocolate, graphite, and earth. It boasts good acidity, huge tannins, magnificent concentration, and a multilayered, textured mouthfeel. It is big but impeccably well-balanced Shiraz. An all-time classic.
Robert Parker 98 points $225

Legendary. This deep purple wine is followed by an extra-ordinarily intense nose of creme de cassis is intermixed with blueberry and floral notes.
